Over the years, different platforms have been created for sharing ideas, bridging knowledge gaps and providing new ways that aimed at supporting the growth of the Ecological and Organic Agriculture sector on the continent. These include periodic national, continental and sub-regional conferences i.e. the West African Organic Conference (WAOC) held every two years and the African Organic Conference held every three years. So far, five (5) of such West African Organic Conferences have been held in Nigeria, Benin Republic, Mali and Ghana in 2019. It was at the 5th West African Conference held in Ghana that participants decided unanimously to meet at the 6th West African Conference scheduled to be held in 2021 in Burkina Faso.
